Japanese Music & Earthquake Relief fund

Blaise Plant (born & raised in Ontario, Canada) joined his brother in Sendai in 2001 to teach English and eventually start a band. The band, Monkey Majik, is now quite successful in Japan with multiple hits, but the brothers haven't forgotten their roots. After the 3/11 disaster Blaise wrote this song and made this video while helping with cleanup efforts in Sendai. The band also held a special concert called SEND-AI, AI meaning love in Japanese.
If you want to donate to their fund, and have the song you can go here
As it is all in Japanese, here are instructions for purchasing the song, and donating to the relief fund:
  1. At top of the blog, click the 'New song 'take my hand' Download here link
  2. Select 'take my hand', then select how much you would like to donate (shows as separate tracks) starts at 300 yen (about $4-5) to 100,000 yen (about $1100-1300) Button beside the play button selects that track/amount
  3. This is payment option page, if you do not have a Japanese phone or sync account you have to select the first one (one with card, edy, net cash, ect) This will take you to another selection page. First option showing a card is the credit card option.
  4. Insert your information, it asks for card #, expiry date and to enter a captcha. It will then ask you to confirm (keep hitting far right button till the end)
  5. Blog page should have refreshed to show you another confirmation page, with a series of numbers. Copy the numbers (confirmation code) and click the first link under it. Should take you to a page with an entry box, paste code into box.
  6. It will take you to a download page, download in whichever format you prefer, and enjoy!
Just wanted to post this for my followers, and anyone else that comes across my blog. This earthquake was a big deal for me as well, as I have lots of friends who were deeply affected by the disaster. Its been nearly 10 months since it happened but clean up efforts are still continuing and people still need to rebuild their homes and continue with life, and they need help doing that. Please donate if you can, and enjoy the song!
